PAUL MARTAUS, President & CEO
Mr. Martaus is the president and CEO of Martaus & Associates, Inc. a company which specializes in electronic payment systems research consulting and professional education in the payment card transaction acquiring space. Prior to forming Martaus & Associates, Mr. Martaus was the director of research for Payment Systems, Inc. (PSI), the internationally recognized financial services research and consulting company. At PSI, he was responsible for the design and implementation of consumer and industry research covering all aspects of delivering financial services to consumers, financial institutions, merchants and the government.
Mr. Martaus has over 35 years of direct banking operations and EFT experience and has directed numerous EFT and operations related projects. He started out in banking in 1973 and was promoted to SVP when he was 26 years old. In addition, he was the Chief Operating Officer of a privately owned ATM network, the Neighborhood Banking Centers, and held management, marketing and technical positions at two major electronic banking software companies, Applied Communications, Inc. (ACI) and MTech. Mr. Martaus holds a BS in Finance and an MBA in Management.
